I’m Jennifer (although everyone ends up calling me Jen). I’m a content and copywriter for the food businesses who are helping to make the food system healthy and sustainable. Easy Green Recipes is my initiative.
I love food – and not just eating it. I enjoy the whole gastronomical process. That is, absolutely everything that goes into growing, harvesting, choosing, cooking, preparing and eating food.
This means I geek out in the grocery store, love visiting farms and can’t help but photograph my food before I eat it!

What’s my why?
I started my working life as a voice and dialect coach for theatre, film and business. When my kids were little I decided I wanted to learn more about our food system. While I was studying for a Masters in Sustainability, I discovered a massive need for people to learn to cook and really love eating vegetables in order be to both healthy and sustainable. And so Easy Green Recipes was born.
Sustainability: Meeting our needs without preventing future generations from meeting theirs.
Gastronomy meets sustainability
While I spend most of my time writing about food for other people, on this site I try to do what I can to equip people with cooking skills and empower them to be healthy, sustainable and food secure. So I:
- Write and share really easy recipes (mostly plant-based) that the whole family will eat
- Give talks and teach small group workshops that use food as a way to talk about sustainability
