You can make this without the melted chocolate, but there is still a tell-tale taste of avocado. It’s not unpleasant, but people who don’t like avocado may be put off. With the chocolate (use dark chocolate with a least 70% cocoa), the avocado adds body and creaminess – exactly what you want in a mousse.
