Chocolate Bliss Balls
It’s super easy to whip up a batch of these delicious chocolate treats that are also good for you!
pure maple syrup
desicated or shredded coconut or cacao
extra for rolling
Put dates (check again that they are pitted), coconut and cocoa into a food processor and blitz.
Drizzle in maple syrup (while food processor running if possible) til mixture comes together in a large ball.
Pull teaspoon sized lumps off the large ball and roll between palms to make large-marble-sized balls. Roll balls in coconut to cover the outside.
Store in the fridge, enjoy with a cuppa.
Don’t be shy about experimenting with ingredients!
A teaspoon of grated orange zest makes a delicious jaffa treat.
Roll the balls in raw cacao or dutch-processed cocoa for a different finish.
At Christmas, make rum ball by soaking the dates in rum overnight before you begin.
At almond meal or hazelnut meal if not using as a lunchbox item.
